Purpose:

The Haven Board of Supervisors will convene to host a workshop with the Sherburne County Zoning Staff. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss zoning topics.

Additionally, the board will engage in a workshop format to discuss the Orderly Annexation agreement with the City of St. Cloud, MN.

Topics to be Reviewed and Options to be Found:

• Township Zoning Administration: Ben Oleson, Township Zoning Administration company, will be present at the meeting to discuss his role.

• Citizen Planning Commission: Haven has appointed a citizen planning commission. Collin Gau is the Chair and has had several meetings with the new members over the past few months.

* OAA Expiration: The Orderly Annexation Agreement expires on October 30th. Haven has been meeting with the City of St. Cloud monthly for the past year. We need to review our current direction and will be seeking your logical advice on how to make a transition for annexation areas. We have explored several options for the township that included our prior meetings to have your department do Haven Zoning.

* Mining Ordinance: Haven has been drafting a new mining ordinance that we plan to hold public review in August 2025. The date is TBD. We will review the map overlay based on the San Francisco Township Ordinance.

Establishing a Clear Process for Communication:

We would like to establish a clear process for communication with Sherburne County and Haven for planning and zoning purposes.
