Notice to Residents along County Road 8 and River Haven area.   

Haven Township has authorized the MPCA to install three test wells and pipes in the Right of Way along 52nd Street and the east side of the Solar Farm. The black barrels contain soil and water from the test wells that will be removed by an authorized company. The crews need to complete several additional steps to complete the project. 

They will install a soft barrier in front of the well pipes within the next few days.

Prior to the construction of the current solar farm, the farming use of the property had utilized PFAS chemicals that have subsequently been detected in local drinking water.

I will provide additional information as it becomes available. I have been informed that residents in this area have been in contact with the MPCA prior to the installation of the testing wells.
